Year 11 entry requirements
1ENA: Achieved or higher in 3 core areas* in the Year 10 end of year report


1ENB: Achieved or higher in 2 core areas* in the Year 10 end of year report


1ENC: no entry requirement

*Core areas are as follows:
Reading = Unseen texts, Short texts essay, extended/film essay
Writing = Formal writing, short texts essay, extended/film essay
Speaking = speech

Unit Standards can be given to students who are at risk of not attaining their eight literacy credits for NCEA Level 1. One such standard is 10792: Write formal personal correspondence. There is a set of booklets (period loan only) with example letters and suggested activities you could use. However, any correspondence that fulfills the assessment criteria is acceptable.
